On November 30, 2011, we will commemorate the birth of Andres Bonifacio, the "Father of the Philippine Revolution," who was born on that date in 1561. The 148th anniversary of Bonifacio's birth is commemorated by a holiday that bears his name.

Every year, in accordance with our "Holiday Economics Law," Republic Act No. 9492, we have a national holiday in honor of Bonifacio Day.

But this year, Malacañang has no plan to move the Bonifacio day to Monday, Bonifacio Day will be observed on Wednesday, according to Proclamation 84, Series of 2010.

So be happy even if we don't have long weekend this end of the month, after all it's only 32 days before Christmas...
