Manila, Philippines - The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) announced ealier that Bagyong Rolly (Goni) is likely to stay as typhoon category at 185-205 km/h by the time it makes landfall. PAGASA alerted affected residents to prepare before the Saturday evening.
According to PAGASA latest weather report issued at 2PM, "Typhoon Rolly center of the eye is forecast to pass over Catanduanes - mainland Camarines Provinces area tomorrow morning, and over mainland Quezon tomorrow afternoon. Violent winds and intense rainfall associated with the inner rainband-eyewall region will be experienced over Catanduanes, Camarines Provinces tomorrow early morning through afternoon and over Quezon and the southern portion of Aurora tomorrow afternoon through evening."
"After crossing the Southern Luzon - Metro Manila area, the center of "ROLLY" is forecast to exit the mainland Luzon landmass on Monday morning," as the track and intensity outlook reported.
Bagyong Rolly is now moving West Southwestward at 15 km/h with a maximum sustained winds of 215 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 265 km/h.

PAGASA also alerted areas under Signal No. 2 to brace for damaging gale-force to storm-force winds, while areas under Signal No. 1 will experience strong breeze to near gale conditions.
The Signal No. 4 still the highest possible tropical cyclone wind
signal that may be raised, for very destructive typhoon-force winds.
