After four days of not updating her social media accounts, Inday Sara Duterte surprised her friends and followers with her photo inside the recording studio. Then she captioned her photo with this phrase, 'Recording my first solo album at Colang Recording Studio.'
The said photo was uploaded in Instagram and Facebook on Thursday, July 14, 2016. And it immediately went viral and now already received more than 10k combined emoticons and likes.
Davao City Mayor-elect Sara Duterte said in her viral photo, "Recording my first solo album at Colang Recording Studio with my Phelps Dodge boss Ma'am Mercy. Please support my first single Walang Forever 🎤🎤🎤 #singsingsing #dancedancedance #dancesinglovelive #goodvibes."
After she posted the photo, many people immediately understood her post and accepted that this was only a joke. But she responded to a netizen who accused her of not doing the job as Mayor.
She said, "WTF mo rin ka. Matuto ka umintindi ng joke sa post at social media. Kaya nga ako nag leave kasi ayaw ko gawin personal ko na trabaho sa mga oras na bayad ng gobyerno!!! ikaw ang incompetent na commenter, buhay mo nasa facebook lang! magtrabaho ka na rin!"
According to report, Sara Duterte was on leave as mayor until July 22, 2016, and her brother and Vice Mayor Paolo 'Pulong' Duterte acting as officer in charge in Davao City.
After the said incident, Sara Duterte immediately updates her accounts and clarified the issue.
Sara said, "It's a joke. It was a Bilibid prisoner recording joke. Please do not take me seriously. Pastilan. Haaaayysst."
On the other hand, the Colang Recording Studio is owned by the VIP inmate at the New Bilibid Prisons, he is Herbert Colanggo, a convicted robbery gang leader with a serving time inside the Bilibid since 2009.
