He can't stop being emotional while reading the speech of the 16th president of the Philippines Rodrigo Roa Duterte for his first State of the Nation Address (Sona) on Monday. Secretary Martin Andanar admitted that the speech was very beautiful to read.
In his interview in Davao City, PCO secretary said that it was the President who wrote his own speech.
Andanar said, "When I read the speech, ayaw ko pong mag-exaggerate pero the first time I read the speech, it made me cry. Ganoon po kaganda, ganoon po ka makabagbag-damdamin iyong speech ng Pangulo natin."
It "will awaken the patriot in every Filipino," he added.
According to communications secretary, the much-awaited speech of President Duterte will have at least thirty-eight minutes, not included the applause or adlibs that may occur during the event.
State of the Nation Address (Sona) 2016 will be held at Batasan Pambansa on Monday afternoon, July 25, 2016.
Many are expecting to hear a new agenda under his administration and the need to amend the Constitution to give way to federalism and to reinstate the death penalty for heinous crimes.
