The incoming president Rodrigo Duterte is set to fly in Cebu City to attend a private thanksgiving party. After his successful open ground thanksgiving party at the Crocodile Park in Davao City, Duterte is expected to leave Davao City today, June 8.

Duterte won't allow media on thanksgiving party in Cebu City

But according to president-elect Duterte's aide, Duterte won't allow any media coverage on the party venue. Bong Go said, "Ma’am, baka no coverage," in the text message sent to GMA News.

President-elect Rodrigo Duterte would stand his words that he will no longer grant media interviews and press conferences. All new announcements made by him will be coursed through state-owned People's Television Network (PTV-4).

According to GMA News, during the campaign period, Duterte visited Cebu 4-times including a meeting with his former wife Elizabeth Zimmerman for her birthday celebration.

With family members, including his son Baste, Zimmerman and daughter, Sara, also went around the province in a caravan called Byaheng Du30 campaigning for Rodrigo.

The President-elect Rodrigo Duterte earned over a million votes in the province.

This will be the first time that Duterte will leave his jurisdiction after almost a month of staying in Davao City.
