The 58-year-old vice-presidential candidate of 2016 polls met the President-elect Rodrigo Duterte in his courtesy call on Friday June 10, in Davao City. Senator Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. claims that Duterte was aware in cheating on May 9 elections.

Bongbong Marcos: 'He (Duterte) is aware of the cheating'

According to Bongbong, he paid a courtesy call on president-elect Duterte in Davao city and he had discussed the burial of his father at the Libingan Ng Mga Bayani and a possible Cabinet position under Duterte's administration.

Aside from the said topic, Bongbong told to reporters in his first media conference in Quezon City after elections that he also discussed about his plan to file an electoral protest on June 28 before the Commission on Elections (Comelec) and the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET).

He said, "I explained to him the basis of our protest. He is aware of the cheating."

Based on the official tally, Leni Robredo garnered a total of 14,418,817 votes while Marcos had 14,155,344. Marcos lost to administration bet by only 263,473 votes.

But the senator claimed that the will of the people was not reflected on the official results.

Bongbong Marcos directly said that the current administration has the resources to initiate a massive cheating operation.

He said,"Iisa lang pwede gumawa niyan, administration. We have to lay that at the door of the administration because they are the only ones who could do that."

"Lalabas at lalabas ang mga pangalan na yan. Kung may nangyari, may nag-authorize niyan," he said when reporters asked him who are the specific individuals behind the supposed cheating.
