Dion Ignacio is one of the Kapuso GMA artist who recently portrayed as 'Nicandro Mejia' on primetime series MariMar. He also become popularly known of his role as Raul Agoncillo in the afternoon soap opera 'Saan Darating Ang Umaga.'
According to him, he choose Rodrigo Duterte as his presidential bet for upcoming 2016 polls. Pep interviewed him and said, "Duterte ako, e. Maganda yung plano niya."
"Di ba, yun naman talaga ang problema [kriminalidad] dito sa Pilipinas, e."
Then he was asked if he is willing to campaign the PDP-Laban presidential aspirant Duterte for free. Dion said, "Kung bibigyan po ako ng pagkakataon, willing po akong mag-campaign para kay Mayor Duterte," then added, "Sana magkaroon ng chance."
According to Pep, they had a chance to interview the actor on his birthday celebration at Camillus Medhaven for the Elderly on Marikina City, Monday, March 28, 2016.
