PAGASA confirmed that the tropical storm with international codename 'MELOR' enters the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) today, December 12, 2015. Tropical storm was renamed into 'Nona'.

Bagyong Nona enters PAR today December 12 Updates

Weather advisory as of 5 a.m., PAGASA said the storm was packing maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour with gusts of up to 80 kph.

Bagyong Nona was last spotted 1,110 kilometers east of Maasin, Southern Leyte, as of on Saturday.

And it was moving 25 kph west-northwest. The forecast position within 24 hours will be on 580 km East of Catbalogan City, Samar.

PAGASA advised that the rainfall has moderate to heavy and expected within 100 kilometers of the storm's diameter.

However, there's no public storm warning signals have been raised. But, PAGASA warned the public and local disaster risk reduction and management councils to take appropriate actions and to monitor weather advisories.
PAGASA said, the next Severe Weather Bulletin to be issued at 11 AM today.
