After the recent nationwide survey facilitated by Social Weather Stations (SWS) in the last week of November. Davao City Mayor Duterte remained on the number 1 spot for president in all socioeconomic classes and majority of geographic areas.

Duterte remains no. 1 choice for President of the Philippines

SWS released the survey results on Monday, December 7, where the 38 percent of all voters was in favor with Duterte. While Senator Grace Poe and Vice President Jejomar Binay tied on second spot and both have 21 percent of votes.

Third spot for Secretary Mar Roxas and has 15 percent of votes, then Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago scored 4 percent.

According to screengrab image above, Davao Mayor Duterte is the top choice for National Capital Region (48%), Visayas (44%) and Mindanao (50%).

The question asked to the 1,200 respondents was, "Ibang listahan naman po ang gamitin natin. Kasama dito si Rodrigo Duterte bilang isang substitute candidate sa Presidente. Sa mga sumusunod na pangalan sa listahang ito, sino po ang malamang ninyong iboboto bilang PRESIDENTE NG PILIPINAS, kung ang eleksyon ay gaganapin ngayon?"

The survey was commissioned by a Davao-based businessman and a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points at the national level and plus or minus 6 percentage points at the regional level.

Last September 2015 survey, Duterte placed on 4th spot with only 11 percent of registered voters favoring him. But on the first week of November survey, Duterte immediately goes on the top spot.

Meanwhile, The poll body is set to come out with the final list of candidates by December 15.
