PAGASA already raised the public storm warning signal no. 4 to Aurora province. Super Typhoon Lando could intensify further based on the satellite figure of JTWC.

Super Typhoon Lando Updates - October 18, 2015

The United States Joint Typhoon Warning Center said, Typhoon Lando (international name Koppu) was upgraded to a category 4 super typhoon in its 11 p.m., October 17, 2015.

As of 5 a.m, today, October 18, 2015, Super Typhoon Lando "was located based on all available data including baler doppler radar in the vicinity of Casiguran, Aurora (15.9°N, 121.8°E) with maximum sustained winds of 175 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 210 kph. It is forecast to move west at 3 kph."

PAGASA forecaster said that the blowing of winds will be from moderate to strong from the Northeast to Northwest will prevail over the rest of Luzon and coming from the southwest over Visayas and Mindanao with moderate to rough seas.

Public storm warning signal no. 3 to the following areas; Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Nueva Ecija, Ifugao and Northern Quezon including Polillo Islands.

Then signal no. 2 to Metro Manila, Cagayan including Calayan and Babuyan group of islands, Benguet, Mt. Province, Kalinga Apayao, Pangasinan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Rizal and rest of Quezon.

Public signal no. 1 to the following; Zambales, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Abra, Camarines Norte, Bataan, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas and Batanes.
