Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, who is making a noise today after he confirmed running for a Vice Presidential position this coming 2016 Election even without his party's support.
Trillanes said during an interview at 'Kapihan sa Senado,' ""I am 100 percent sure to run as vice president in 2016, with or without the support of my party."
Trillanes who is a member of Nacionalista Party or NP, divulge that he have taken a 1 month short course of 'national and international security, leadership training and development program' at Harvard's University.
He also revealed that he is going to continue his platform which are focusing in Peace and order, anti-corruption and anti-poverty drives.
He said, "Those are our core competence, and I believe they are the deepest roots of our country's problems."
According to Trillanes, there is no definite decision from NP yet, but it's still an individual decision which should take place.
"There is still no official decision from NP, individual decisions should comes first, and that individual decision has been made," Trillanes said.
Since there is no definite support from NP, Trillanes with his Magdalo group is expanding their grassroots so to convince people that they are the better option.
He said, "We will just go direct to the people, and, since we don't have the massive resources for advertisements, we will make up for it by expanding our grass roots organization."
