The Department of Labor and Employment released on Tuesday the job orders in the United Kingdom. UK needs 554 Filipino nurses, according to the Labor Secretary Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz.
It's a great news to all NLE passers in the country, the demand was increase by 38-percent compare to last year’s 402 job orders.
Philippine Labor Attache in the UK Joan Lavilla said, "There is demand for Filipino nurses in the UK due to its ageing nursing workforce and the shrinking pool of registered nurses. These are based on reports and studies by UK’s Center for Workforce Intelligence and the Royal College of Nursing, which said 24 percent of registered nurses are set to retire in the next five years."
Interaksyon listed down the eight job orders from the agencies that will caters the 554 nursing jobs.
Search Recruitment Limited and Medicare Staffing Limited - (240 Filipino nurses)
To be deploy in these National Health Service (NHS) Trusts hospitals, Northwest London Hospitals, Gloucestershire Hospitals, and Kingston Hospitals.
Pure Health Staffing Limited, Job Connections UK Limited, Sky Care Health Limited, and More Medical Associates Limited. - (314 Filipino nurses)
To be deploy in these private care homes, Rushcliffe Care Group, Gold Care Homes Limited, Bond Care Limited, and Four Seasons.
Meanwhile, Baldoz warned Filipino nurses desiring to work in the UK to follow the legal processes of overseas employment, through the POEA, to avoid getting conned by illegal recruiters.
