Philippines - The Supreme Court officials officially conducted the first day of Bar Exams for 2014 at the University of Santo Tomas (UST). A total of 6,344 law students took this year’s bar exam.

6,344 to take 2014 Philippine Bar Exams

Philippine Bar Examinations 2014 schedule will be on four Sundays of October, as written below:

October 5,
October 12,
October 19,
October 26

According to the Supreme Court Associate Justice Diosdado Peralta, there will be 80% essay questions and 20% multiple choice questions, that's the structure of the bar exams.

In addition to this, all bar examinees will be given 4-hours for each bar subject, irrespective of weight of those subjects.

Bar Exams will have eight (8) subjects such as, Legal and Judicial Ethics, Political and Public International Law, Labor and Social Legislation, Taxation, Mercantile Law, Criminal Law, Remedial Law, and Civil law.

Due to the high security impose to the day of examinations, the UST and the SC prohibit the use of  sidewalks around the campus because of the "no walk" policy for the four Sundays of October.

UST Gate 2 and 3 are open for bar examiners only while Gate 1 will be opened for the SC and the bar exam personnel. They can also use the Gates 11 and 12 during the lunch break.

And for Church visitors, they can use the Gate 7 at P. Nuval Street and the Gate 14 at Lacson Street to go to the UST Hospital is for public use.
