The Department of Health (DoH) announced that our country was secure and ready for safety measures prevent the entry of Ebola virus. The agency assured the public that they're implementing it for those coming from Ebola-hit countries who exhibit symptoms.
The DoH will be following certain protocols, if they found the person found to be positive of the virus, she/he will have to undergo a 21-day quarantine to the designated Ebola centers for treatment.
The three hospitals opened as Ebola centers here in the Philippines are, the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine, San Lazaro Hospital, and the Lung Center of the Philippines.
Health Undersecretary Teodoro Herbosa said that the above mentioned hospitals are highly capable to handle highly infectious diseases.
Meanwhile, WHO said that they're 4,033 people have died from Ebola virus as of October 8 out of a total of 8,399 registered cases in seven countries.
