You probably know the answer if you're a football fanatic but if not, well! he is from Colombia born June 21, 1971, a 43-years-old Colombian goalkeeper and "the oldest player in the history of the World Cup", as FIFA President Sepp Blatter posted on Twitter.

Mondragon becomes oldest World Cup player at 43

Faryd Mondragon became center of attraction when he entered as an 85th minute substitute with his team. They won over Japan by 4-1 after the late replacement.

He started playing football in year 1993, and played over 50 times for the Colombian national team.

Mondragon said to local press, "It’s a great moment, at the end of a long journey, to play at the age of 43 at the World Cup," then added, "Thanks to all my colleagues."

According to Washington Post, Mondragon maintained one fine save to keep the score at 4-1 and is the only remnant from Colombia’s previous appearance at a World Cup.
