Super Typhoon Yolanda expected to hit the land of Eastern Visayas. Local-government units from the said areas declared a suspension of classes for Thursday and Friday, November 7 and 8.

The announcement made Wednesday afternoon that classes for all levels in Albay and Cebu are suspended.

The same with the LGU's in Bohol, Samar, and Romblon, but in Romblon and Samar, they also suspend the work, so they can prepare for the coming Super Typhoon Yolanda.

PAGASA said, "the eye of Typhoon "YOLANDA" was located based on all available data at 644 km Southeast of Guiuan, Eastern."

It added that, "'YOLANDA' has maintained its intensity as it threatens Eastern Visayas."

According to the US Navy and Air Force's Joint Typhoon Warning Center (JTWC), Yolanda is expected to reach the sustained winds strength of 268 kph and 324 kph gusts in the next 12 hours.
