Thursday morning when San Francisco Police announced to evacuate the Union Square due to a report of suspicious thing inside the building. Union Square is the major tourist destination in San Francisco.

Police together with the bomb squad revealed that the suspicious thing was a backpack. They first noticed this around 11:50 a.m. PST, according to the FOX News.

FOX News reported that the police determined the backpack was “not hazardous,” and an “all clear” was issued slightly more than an hour and a half later.

The street around the Union Square was reopened after the investigation. The plaza is also the venue for the Nike Women’s Marathon in weekend.
