The 2013 Miss Universe beauty pageant will take place at Crocus City Hall in Moscow, Russia on Saturday, November 9. And Bb. Pilipinas Miss Universe Philippines Ariella Arida will represent our country to this event.
The 25-years old Filipina was born in Alaminos, Laguna. She was a professional model and also one of the contestant of the Miss Philippines Earth 2012.
She admitted that she's having hard time speaking in English, Arida said in an interview on ANC, "I’m aware of it, actually. You know, I’ve got a lot of failings, especially on my communication skills and I’m doing my best to really express myself, to communicate myself, to convey a message to all of the people."
Aside from Ariella Arida, ABS-CBN News revealed that there are also 2 more candidates with a Filipino blood in the said pageant.
One is from Canada, Riza Santos, a pure Filipina who become popular as housemate on "Pinoy Big Brother." And another one is from Gabon, Jennifer Mouchita.
And for Arida, she promised to do her best, She said, "Like what I’ve told my trainers, I will do my best in the competition. Because you know, when you get there [it’s not about how you speak English] but how you express yourself."
