State weather bureau reported that Typhoon Tino is now inside the Philippine area of responsibility as of 11 am today, October 14, Monday. PAGASA said that Tino will not affect the country and it may leave on Tuesday morning.
PAGASA weather bulletin posted that Typhoon Tino (international codename Wipha) was estimated at 1,210 km east-northeast of Basco, Batanes.
It has a maximum sustained winds of 160 kph and gustiness of up to 190 kph, PAGASA said.
PAGASA forecaster Alvin Pura told in an interview on dzBB radio, "Kakapasok lang po niya... malakas na po siya. Bukas ng umaga maaaring nasa labas na ito ng PAR at papunta ng Japan."
Typhoon Tino might bring rains of 7.5 to 15 mm per hour (heavy to intense) within its 1,000-km diameter.
