PAGASA expected to have heavy rains starting this afternoon or evening as Tropical Storm Odette continues moving at 790 km East of Tuguegarao City and gains strength as of Wednesday, September 18, 2013.

PAGASA forecaster Connie Dadivas said, "Nagpapaibayo ng hanging habagat. Sa bandang hapon o gabi magkakaroon ng malakas na pag-ulan hanggang Sabado."

PAGASA said, "Tropical Storm ODETTE has intensified further as it remained almost stationary."

The larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves and advised all fishing boats and other small seacrafts not to venture out into the sea.

PAGASA also added that Odette will enhance the southwest monsoon, which will bring "light to moderate rains and thunderstorms over the western sections of Central and Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao."
