It was Mitoy Yonting! the 42-year-old singer who became the first-ever winner of “The Voice of the Philippines” on Sunday, September 29, 2013.

Mitoy Yonting got the 57.65 percent of votes, which lead him to beat Sarah's artist 'Klarisse de Guzman.'

The event was held at Resorts World Manila in Pasay with so many fans to support their idols.

Mitoy coach Lea Salonga was so happy for the result and of course for Mitoy's performance.

She said, “Maraming salamat sa pagpili, for letting me into your heart and for allowing me to help you along this journey,” then she added, “Sana in the rest of your journey, you will allow me to look over your shoulder and watch over you.”
