Accu Weather reported that Tropical Storm Flossie is now heading toward Hawaii and it will continue on that location for the next week. But it will expected to weaken over the weekend, according to report by The Inquisitr site.

Flossie become a Tropical Storm on Thursday morning and expected to gain strength through Friday, with maximum winds as strong as 50 mph.

As of now, Tropical Storm Flossie is about a thousand miles away from Hawaii in the Pacific Ocean.

National Weather Service advised Hawaiians that to keep in mind that even the remnants of tropical cyclones can sometimes bring copious, excessive rainfall.

However, Tropical Storm Flossie is not expected to ever reach hurricane status.
