New low-pressure area seen at 450 km east of General Santos City, Saturday, July 27, 2012, according to the state weather forecast.

PAGASA weather advisory as of 10:00 am today, " there is no tropical cyclone existing within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR)," then added, "the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated at 450 km east of General Santos City (5.5°N, 129.5°E)."

Beside from the new LPA, the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) embbeded along low-pressure area, which PAGASA expected to bring moderate to heavy rains and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas and Mindanao.

PAGASA advised residents in all affected areas to take all the necessary precautionary measures.
