A very tragic incident happened in India where the victims are children ages from 5 and 12. At least 22 children died and many are were sick after eating a free school lunch in India.

The contaminated free lunch are composed of rice, lentils, soybeans and potatoes. They started vomiting after they ate the free lunch.

Authorities didn't know how the chemicals ended up in the food in a school in the eastern state of Bihar.

One of the victims said that she had a stomach ache after eating soybeans and potatoes.

She said, "I don't know what happened after that," Savita, 12-year-old said in an interview at Patna Medical College Hospital.

According to initial investigation report, the food has a organophosphate used as an insecticide on rice and wheat crops.

This Government feeding program aims to address concerns about malnutrition in all Indian children.
