The former member of The Temptations group who sang the 'Papa Was a Rollin' Stone' has died at the age 62, according to report by MSN news site.

Otis 'Damon' Harris joined the group in 1971 at his age of 21-years old. He became the lead singer of the band when the original lead singers left, Eddie Kendricks is the original lead singers of The Temptations.

Harris passed away on Monday, with no confirmation of the cause of his death, but Harris suffered from prostate cancer.

According to MSN News, In 1975, Harris left the Temptations band and formed a tribute band, "The Young Tempts."

However, Otis Harris sang with the Temptations until 1975 and helping his group to win three Grammy awards.
