The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) announced the demand of Filipino medical workers in the country of Oman. 3,000 Filipino nurses and other medical workers are the priority in this job vacancy.

Labor Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz said, “This latest positive development will certainly boost the chances of our highly skilled and highly qualified medical workers, particularly our nurses, of getting a job in Oman if they are inclined to.”

The basic salary average that she/he can received in Oman is worth US$703.79, according to report by Philippine Star.

The Oman government more like to hire nurses who are skilled in obstetrics, gynecology, anesthesiology, surgery (neuro and cardio), intensive care, and psychiatrics.

The Omani government has already increased its budget for the Ministry of Health (MOH) in an effort to address the current shortage of medical workers.
