The U.S. government prosecutors called the man as No. 1 most wanted deadbeat parent pleaded guilty in New York. The man failed to pay the child support worth more than $1.2 million, according to report by The Washington Post.

The man named Robert Sand, 50-year old, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Central Islip on Long Island.

According to Assistant U.S. Attorney Alan Bode, "the child support orders, which were issued on Long Island, have been in arrears since at least 2002."

The figure mentioned above cited by Assistant U.S. Attorney includes interest and penalties. The prosecutor declined to comment after the court proceeding.

While according to U.S. Attorney Loretta Lynch said in a statement, "Neither court orders nor the familial bond meant anything to him as he fled to avoid his obligations."

Robert Sand will face the court order of four years imprisonment when he is sentenced in May.
