As of 8:00 a.m. today, December 17, 2012, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said that the latest update of the Typhoon Pablo death toll continued to climb up, reaching 1,043 and the number of injured also rose to 2,662.

According to the NDRRMC update, "Typhoon Pablo had affected 701,224 families or 6,203,826 people in 2,910 villages in 312 towns and 40 cities in 34 provinces."

NDRRMC added that, "6,608 families or 25,953 people are staying in 63 evacuation centers."

Here's the breakdown of Pablo death toll

962 was reported from Region 11 (Davao Region)
21 in the Caraga Region
15 in Region 10 (Northern Mindanao)
10 in Region 7 (Central Visayas)
4  in Region 12 (Soccsksargen)
3 in Region 8 (Eastern Visayas)
3 in Region 4-B (Mimaropa)
1 in Region 9 (Zamboanga Peninsula)
1 in Region 6 (Western Visayas)

Additional fatalities today (December 17, 2012)
22 were from Monkayo
1 was from Compostela in Compostela Valley.

Meanwhile, NDRRMC said at least 65,537 houses were destroyed while 101,758 were damaged.
