The strongest storm that hit the country this year has left a death toll to 115 confirmed by disaster relief officials this Wednesday December 5, 2012. PAGASA said, Typhoon Pablo has slowed down and weakened slightly and is now over Northern Palawan.

Regional military spokesman LtCol. Lyndon Paniza said, "49 people were killed in the mudslide- and flood-hit southern mountain town of New Bataan while 51 others are dead on Mindanao island's east coast."

Civil defense office personnel told AFP that, "12 others were killed in other parts of Mindanao, while 3 deaths were recorded across the central Visayas region."

PAGASA weather bulletin issued at 2:00 p.m.,"the eye of Typhoon "PABLO" was located at 90 km Northwest of Roxas, Northern Palawan(11.1°N, 118.9°E)."

PAGASA raised public storm warning signal to the following areas below:

Signal No. 3:
Northern Palawan, Calamian Grp. of Islands

Signal No. 2:
Rest of Palawan

Signal No. 1:
Orriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro, Lubang Island, Antique

Meanwhile, PAGASA alerted residents living in low lying and mountainous areas under public storm warning signals to possible flash floods and landslides. Likewise, those living in coastal areas under public storm warning signal #3 and signal #2 are also alerted against big waves or storm surges generated by this Typhoon.
