The first game for the best-of-three series in UAAP 75 finals was already done last Saturday, October 6, 2012 held at the SM MOA Arena. It was indeed a great game play from the two popular teams who gave their best in this first of the three games for the championship.
The SM MOA Arena were flooded by 20 thousands viewers that day, and they didn't feel any regret after the game for the play match was indeed exciting. It is worth the ticket they paid for.
On the first and second quarter of the game, UST Growling Tigers stun everyone in the MOA Arena banging ADMU Blue Eagles with a lead of 7 points before the halftime rings. However, Blue Eagles did not give up easily, they made a reversing tactics against Growling Tigers that made them caught up and lead by 10 points in the 3rd quarter.
And on the fourth quarter, the game had been a furious one, after UST head coach Pido Jarencio got angry in one of the referee asking it to be fair in the game.
UST Coach said, “Inakyat ko nga yung mga referees eh. Porket ba UST lang kami ganun yung mga calls? Baka magka-People Power tayo dito niyan eh”, and added, “Let the players decide the game, not the officials.”
Still, even giving their best on the last quarter, UST Growling Tigers did not made it up, giving ADMU Blue Eagles it's first win on the best-of-three series with a 5 points lead against their opponent.
Now, they have one win in this event, one more game to win and they will be declared as UAAP Season 75 Champion.
