Due to continues heavy rainfalls that have started late last night, most areas in Metro Manila have now submerge in Floods. Before dawn this Saturday, state weather forecasters from PAGASA has now raised the red rainfall alert over Metro Manila. The red alert warning indicates "intense to torrential" rainfalls that may continue to fall for two to three more hours.

Suspension of Classes in Metro Manila Area - September 15

Now that floods cover most areas of Metro Manila, schools and some LGU's have decided to suspend their classes this Saturday morning.

Below are the list of schools and LGU's who have announced their suspension early this morning, September 15, 2012.


• Assumption College - offices and grad school suspended
• Emilio Aguinaldo College (Manila)
• Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM)
• National Teachers College Quiapo - classes in all levels suspended
• Philippine College of Criminology (PCC)
• Adamson University - all levels are suspended

• De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde - classes and offices are suspended
• San Sebastian College of Law
• UE Manila & Caloocan - All classes suspended except for the College of Law & the Graduate School
• Lyceum Manila
• Miriam College - offices and classes in undergraduate, graduate, and Miriam Adult Education level are now suspended
• Polytechnic University of the Philippines - classes and offices suspended in all PUP Metro Manila campuses
• Holy Child Academy QC Novaliches

• De La Salle University - classes and office operations in Taft, Makati Extension, and Ortigas Extension campuses suspended
• Arellano University
• Letran Manila
• National University
• St. Scholastica College Manila
• FEU Manila and Makati
• University of Sto. Tomas

Local Government Unit (LGU)

• San Juan - Classes in all levels are suspended, Mayor Guia Gomez confirmed.
