An Active Low Pressure Area (ALPA) is still threatening the Northern part of Luzon as of today based on PAGASA's weather bulletin. According to the weather site, the ALPA seen at 330 km east of Aparri town in Cagayan province is a potential cyclone that can cause flash floods and landslides.

PAGASA said in it's weather bulletin as of 5 a.m. today, "Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms. The rest of Luzon will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms becoming cloudy with widespread rain over Northern Luzon which may trigger flash floods and landslides."

The ALPA if becomes a cyclone will be named 'IGME', according still to PAGASA. The possible thing that today is that, ALPA is expected to enhance the southwest monsoon, which may bring rain to most parts of Luzon.
