Philippine weather expert revealed that the Active Low Pressure Area is now inside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) . PAGASA showed a potential cyclone on the image below that the scattered rain showers and thunderstorms may bring to the areas of Bicol, Visayas and Mindanao.

PAGASA forecaster Glaiza Escollar said on radio interview, "Nasa loob ito ng Philippine area of responsibility kahapon ng hapon. Dahil dito, inaasahan natin sa loob ng 24 oras makakaranas ng kalat-kalat na pag-ulan, pagkidlat at pagkulog ang Bicol, Visayas at Mindanao."

PAGASA weather bulletin posted as of 5:00 a.m. on its site, "the Active Low Pressure Area (ALPA) was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 900 km East of Central Luzon."

Escollar said, "Taya natin, Lunes o Martes lalakas ito at maging ganap na bagyo." "Sa Miyerkules, makakaranas ng pag-ulan sa Metro Manila."

PAGASA said once the ALPA intensifies into a tropical cyclone, it will be called Bagyong Helen.

Meanwhile, The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, according to PAGASA.
