Scientist found that "the bacteria that roam in the mouth can cause life-threatening blood clots which could trigger the rare condition infective endocarditis."

Endocarditis is an inflammation of the inner layer of the heart, according to wikipedia.org.

Brushing your teeth after eating can helps remove bad bacteria that could cause to form a killer blood clots which will enter to the bloodstream through bleeding gums and if the clots grow on heart valves, they can cause infective endocarditis.

British Dental Association Professor Damien Walmsley said: "The findings contribute to our understanding of the relationship between gum disease and heart disease. It also underlines the importance of brushing teeth twice a day."

So before its too late, we should include the oral hygiene to our daily habits to avoid heart disease such as heart attacks or strokes.
