Comelec: 'No Bio, No Boto' campaign for 2016 Election

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) will be very strict this coming 2016 Presidential Elections. There will be a so-called 'No Bio, No Boto' campaign which encouraging all voters to register and to validate their biometrics before 2016 elections.

James Jimenez, Comelec spokesperson said in a text message send to GMA News Online, “To the extent that we can be even more aggressive than we already are? Of course,” and added, “Our election offices have also been sending out letters to individuals who have no biometrics, urging them to come forward lest they be deactivated and thereby lose their right to vote in 2016.”

According to Jimenez even Philippine National Police (PNP) so with some religious group are already helping them to deploy necessary information regarding their campaign.

Jimenez said, “We're also being assisted in our public information efforts by the PNP, which has made “No Bio, No Boto” reminders a part of their public outreach programs,” and he added, “Both the PPCRV (Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting) and the top leadership of the Iglesia ni Cristo have been heavily promoting the 'No Bio, No Boto' as a call to action in their respective constituencies and congregations.”

As the record coming from Comelec, there are a total of 4.7 million voters who have not yet validated their biometrics even some details such as  their photograph, fingerprint and signature as of end of January 2015.

So if you're not registered by this moment, act now and be registered voters if you like to participate and to be proud Good Filipino on the coming 2016 poll.
