PAGASA Update: Bagyong Mario move towards Northern LUZON (September 18)

The State Weather Bureau forecast the Tropical Storm moving towards northern Luzon, as of 5 PM, September 18, issued advisory. Bagyong Mario has maintained its strength and moving West Northwest at 26 kph.

According to PAGASA, Tropical Storm “MARIO” was estimated at 576 km East of Infanta, Quezon (14.9°N, 127.0°E), based on all available data of the weather agency.

The provinces of Cagayan including Calayan and Babuyan Group of Islands and Northern Isabela will experience stormy weather with rough to very rough seas, while cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms for the rest of Luzon and of Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao and Caraga.

PAGASA said, Bagyong Mario is expected to be in the vicinity of Sta. Ana, Cagayan by tomorrow afternoon.

Public Storm Warning signal no. 1 was placed to the following areas; Catanduanes, rest of Isabela, Northern Aurora, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Ifugao, Mt. Province, Apayao, Kalinga, Abra, Ilocos Norte and Batanes Group of Islands.

Meanwhile, this weather report is until the next bulletin to be issued at 11 PM today.
