Bagyong Luis made landfall in Cagayan-Isabela provinces (September 14)

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration reported this Sunday evening that Bagyong Luis was already in the boundary of Cagayan and Isabela provinces.


As of 9 PM advisory, Bagyong Luis center was located at the vicinity of Pinukpuk (17.5N, 121.4E) and forecast moving west northwest at 22 kph, according to PAGASA.

Local governments of Isabela and Cagayan have already implemented preemptive evacuation in their areas .

State weather bureau placed under signal no. 3 the following areas, Cagayan including Babuyan and Calayan Group of Islands, Apayao, Ilocos Norte, Abra, Kalinga, Isabela, Mt. Province, Ilocos Sur and Ifugao.

Then signal no. 2, to the Batanes Group of Islands, La Union, Benguet, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Aurora, Pangasinan, and Nueva Ecija.

And lastly, signal no. 1, to the following pronices such as, Tarlac, Zambales, Pampanga, Bulacan, Northern Quezon, and Pollilo Island.

PAGASA also issued heavy rainfall advisory to warning level Orange to the areas listed below.

Bulacan
Cavite
Laguna
Metro Manila
Nueva Ecija
Pampanga
Rizal
Tarlac
Zambales

The next PAGASA weather bulletin will be issued tomorrow at 1 AM - Monday.
