Eid’l Fitr 'Feast of Ramadhan' set on July 29 not July 28

Philippines - As we all know whenever we heard the word "Eid’l Fitr" it means that its a celebration of the end of the holy month called 'Ramadan' for all Muslims all over the world. But for many, this is one great holiday means "no classes and no work."

July 29 a regular holiday - Feast of Ramadhan

According to Proclamation No. 826, "DECLARING TUESDAY, 29 JULY 2014, AS A REGULAR HOLIDAY THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY IN OBSERVANCE OF EID’L FITR (FEAST OF RAMADHAN)"

President BENIGNO S. AQUINO III singed the proclamation No. 826 and declared the 29th day of July 2014 as a Regular Holiday so we could respect the observance of Eid’l Fitr.

Aquino said, "Our solidarity enables us to learn from each other and create a more unified and harmonious nation where citizens of various beliefs and creeds can work together to uphold peace and harmony."

In addition to this, Feast of Ramadhan is celebrated by the Muslim World for 3-days after the end of the month of fasting.

Last year, Pres. Aquino declared Eid’l Fitr on Friday, August 9, under Proclamation No. 629.
