Typhoon Santi Update as of Friday, October 11, 2013 by PAGASA

PAGASA reported that 7 provinces was placed under storm signal no. 3. Typhoon Santi intensified further and forecast to move west at 15 kph.

PAGASA weather bulletin as of 11 a.m. today, "Typhoon SANTI has intensified further as it continues to move towards Aurora-Isabela Area. "

The seven areas under storm warning signal no. #3 are, Aurora, Isabela, Quirino, Ifugao, Nueva Vizcaya, Benguet, and Nueva Ecija.

Metro Manila is now under storm signal no. #1 and 12 others namely, Calayan and Babuyan Group of Island, Bataan, Rizal, Cavite, Batangas, Laguna, Lubang Islands, Rest of Quezon, Marinduque, Camarines Provinces, Albay, and Catanduanes.

Areas under Storm signal no. #2 are, La Union, Pangasinan, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Cagayan, Apayao, Kalinga, Abra, Mountain Province, Tarlac, Zambales, Bulacan, Pampanga, Northern Quezon, and Polilio Island.

PAGASA estimated the rainfall amount is from 7.5 - 30.0 mm per hour (Heavy - Intense) within the 500 km diameter of the Typhoon Santi.

State weather bureau alerted those residents in low lying and mountainous areas under signal #3, #2 and #1 against possible flashfloods and landslides.
