Double Impact Cyclone Batter Mexico | 21 Dead in Tropical Storm and Hurricane in Veracruz

Tropical Storm and Hurricane joined force to batter the Gulf port city of Veracruz, Mexico, Friday Sept. 13., 2013. The Tropical Storm Manuel and Hurricane Ingrid made a heavy rains and landslides caused at least 21 deaths, according to Federal Civil Protection agency.

According U.S. National Hurricane Center that the storm was downgraded into tropical depression on Sunday afternoon and expected to dissipate on Monday.

But the Hurricane Center warned the public against the flash floods and mudslides caused by heavy rains brought by storm.

Boston.com posted this quoted phrase that "early Friday evening, officials in four states reported a total of 24 people killed by the storms, but federal Civil Protection Coordinator Luis Felipe Puente later said 21 deaths had been confirmed."

Cabo Rojo to La Pesca hurricane warning stated that Ingrid was also expected to bring very heavy rains with maximum sustained winds of 75 mph (120 kph).

According to Civil Protection officials, "More than 1,000 homes in Veracruz state had been affected by the storm to varying degrees, and 20 highways and 12 bridges had damage."
