Tropical Storm Labuyo | PAGASA Update August 10, 2013

PAGASA forecaster said that Tropical depression "Labuyo" has strengthen into a tropical storm, Saturday, August 10. Labuyo is now moving west northwest at 19 kph.

PAGASA weather bulletin as of 5 am today, " Tropical Storm "LABUYO" was estimated at 680 km east of Virac, Catanduanes (14.0°N, 131.4°E) with maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph."

PAGASA did not place any public storm warning signal because tropical storm Labuyo is too far to hit the land.

Tropical storm Labuyo was last spotted 680 kilometers east of Virac, Catanduanes.

Meanwhile, the new low pressure area (LPA) has already left the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR). PAGASA last monitored this at Puerto Princesa City.

PAGASA said, Metro Manila and the rest of the country, meanwhile, will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rains or thunderstorms.
