Gilas Pilipinas outlasts South Korea August 10, 2013 | FIBA Asia Championship 2013

Its a heart warming success for Gilas Pilipinas today. They finally beaten the South Korea team for the first time in FIBA Asia history. LIVE at SM Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City, Gilas lead the semifinals round of FIBA Asia 2013 in the Group E, with the final score of 79 - 60.

From the first and second quarter of the game, South Korea lead the game, but on the third and fourth quarter, they went up and beat the South Korea team.

Coach Chot Reyes was caught crying for the success of his team. I think he really pray hard and hoping for the best to get this success. The Philippines national team is now included in the 2014 FIBA World Cup in Spain.

Reyes said, "Gusto ko lang magpasalamat sa lahat ng naniniwala. Pasensya na po kayo di ko mapigilan ang maiyak."

He also said, "To all the haters and the skeptics, I forgive you," he added, "God bless you and mabuhay ang Pilipinas."

Tomorrow is another day for the Gilas Pilipinas team, for they will face the Iran team on FIBA Asia 2013 Final game.
