Tropical Storm Dante Update

Tropical Storm "DANTE" is continuously moving north northeast direction and  slightly increased its strength, according to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration report this Sunday, June 9, 2013.

PAGASA posted this afternoon update on its website, "at 4:00 a.m. today, the center of Tropical Storm "DANTE" was estimated based on all available data at 850 km east of Appari, Cagayan (19.2°N, 130.8°E)with maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph. It is forecast to move Northeast at 15 kph. "

State weather forecaster said that Tropical storm Dante is too far to directly affect any part of the country but will continue to enhance the southwest windflow.

PAGASA said expect the rains and thunderstorms on Tuesday and Wednesday over the western sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
