'Libreng Hatid' offers by MMDA for UPCAT takers

University of the Philippines College Admission Test (UPCAT) is said to set this coming weekend, Saturday and Sunday, August 4-5, 2012. With this Metro Manila Development Authority or MMDA is wavering a 'Libreng Hatid' program for all UPCAT takers.

UPCAT takers who will come from Edsa or C5 to UP will have a free ride experience from MMDA. According to MMDA's twitter post, they will have 4 trips per location.

Takers from C5 must meet at the MMDA Rescue Base at C5-Ortigas Ilalim, while takers from Edsa must meet up at the corner of EDSA and East Ave Ilalim, in front of the DILG Building.

The 'Libreng Hatid' or free ride program of MMDA is to avoid the weekend rush hour which starts at 6 a.m., 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Based on UPCAT website, takers of the exam must be at their designated Test Center 6:30 a.m. for the a.m session and 12:30 p.m. for the p.m session. The said exam of University of the Philippines lasts for five hours and has sub-tests on language proficiency, reading comprehension, mathematics and science. The languages that can be use in the exam is only in English and Filipino, and it is only taken once, meaning no retakes are accepted.
