Suspension of Classes due to bad weather - July 30

Tropical Storm Gener showed high risk of danger after it continually move extreme northern Luzon with a heavy set of rainfalls through out Luzon and mostly on National Capital Region (NCR). Because of this, PAGASA or Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration have raised public storm signal in 7 areas in Luzon.

PAGASA has set a storm signal number 2 towards the provinces of Cagayan, Calayan Group of Islands and Babuyan Group of Islands, while the provinces of Isabela, Kalinga, Apayao and Batanes Goup of Islands are under signal number 1.

PAGASA in a public announcement said, “Residents living in low lying and mountainous areas under public storm warning signals are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides. Likewise, those living in coastal areas under public storm warning signal number 2 are alerted against big waves or storm surges generated by this tropical cyclone.”

For the meantime, some LGU's or Local Government Units have already announced that the classes in their areas that are suspended this Monday morning, July 30, 2012. Below are the cities and their schools who confirmed suspension base on initial reports from different weather news site.

Suspended Classes due to Tropical Storm Gener

1. Taguig City  - there will be no classes tomorrow from kinder to high school
2. Quezon City  - all public and private schools from kindergarten to high school
3. San Juan       - public and private, from kinder to high school
4. Malabon        - suspended classes in public, private schools from kinder to high school
5. Mandaluyong  - classes suspended, pre-school to HS, public and private
6. Navotas-  kindergarten to high school are suspended
7. Valenzuela City - suspended preschool to high school classes
8. Obando, Bulacan  - classes suspended in all levels
9. Caloocan -  class suspended kinder to high school in all public and private schools in the city
10. Antipolo City - from pre-school to high school in both public and private school
11. Muntinlupa -  class suspension from kindergarten to College in all private and public school
12. Marikina City - suspension of classes in pre-school to HS levels in both public and private levels
13. DasmariƱas, Cavite -  pre-school to high school class suspended
14. Pasay - starts from kinder to high school classes are suspended
15. Manila - classes suspended are suspended from kinder to high school
16. Makati City - classes suspended in all levels of public and private schools
17. Angono, Rizal - classes suspended in public and private, from preschool to high school
18. Tanay, Rizal - classes are suspended preschool to high school
19 Taytay, Rizal - classes are suspended preschool to high school
20 Teresa, Rizal  - classes are suspended preschool to high school
21. Cainta, Rizal - classes are suspended in all public and private, from preschool to high school
22 Tuy, Batangas - class suspended in all levels
23 Tanza, Cavite - class suspended in Bacoor, Rosario, Tanza, Noveleta, Maragondon, and Ternate

UP Diliman - Morning Class Suspended today (July 30). Classes will resume at 1 p.m.

UP Manila - Classes and offices in UP Manila are suspended

University of the East - Class Suspended from preschool to high school in Manila and Caloocan have been suspended

University of Perpetual Help - Class Suspended in Las Pinas, Molino, Calamba

University of Santo Tomas - Class Suspended from high school, college and graduate levels

Asia Pacific College - Class Suspended in  college level

Ateneo de Manila -  Class Suspended in the prep, grade school, and high school levels

Barcelona Academy - Class Suspended in Meycauayan, Bulacan

Centro Escolar University - All campuses Class Suspended

City College of Manila - Class Suspended

College of San Benildo, Rizal - Class Suspended

Colegio de San Juan de Letran - Class Suspended

De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde - Class Suspended

De La Salle-Dasmarinas - Class Suspended

DLSU Taft, Makati at Ortigas - No classes

Emilio Aguinaldo College - Class Suspended in all levels

La Salle Lipa, Batangas -  Class Suspended in all levels

Far Eastern University - Classes and office operations suspended

Miriam College - Class Suspended from preschool to college

National University - Class Suspended in all levels

New Era University - Class Suspended from preschool to high school, No announcement made for college

Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila  - No Classes

Phililippine Women's University - Class Suspended in all levels

San Beda College  Manila & Rizal  - No Classes

St.Paul University Quezon City -  Class Suspended in all levels
