PAGASA: Bagyong Gener Update - July 2012

Two Low Pressure Area (LPA) causing rains in the country, one of the LPA spotted on east of Mindanao has slowed down but it may merge to another LPA nearby, the first LPA will enters the Philippine Area of Responsibility it will be called Bagyong “Gener,” PAGASA weather expert said.

PAGASA forecaster Jori Loiz said on radio interview, "Yan ang problema namin kung sino mauuna."

According to PAGASA, if both LPAs become cyclones and enter inside Philippine territory, they will be called Bagyong "Gener" and Bagyong "Helen."

Yesterday, PAGASA forecaster Glaiza Escollar said, "Lalakas ito Thursday o Friday, at inaasahan ang pag-ulan sa Metro Manila uli sa Friday ang start. (Sa) weekend maulan tayo."

Meanwhile, PAGASA said the southwest monsoon is affecting Luzon, while the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council warned of strong to gale-force winds that may affect the northern and western seaboards of Luzon.
