Tropical Storm Ambo Update

Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said, "Tropical Storm Ambo (Mawar) intensified further Saturday as it continued to move north-northwest but expects the weather to start improving as classes start on Monday."

PAGASA 5:00 a.m., weather bulletin posted, "At 4:00 a.m. today, Tropical Storm"AMBO" was estimated based on satellite, radar and surface data at 220 km East of Casiguran, Aurora (16.1°N, 124.6°E) with maximum sustained winds of 75 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 90 kph. It is forecast to move north northwest at 13 kph. "

Meanwhile, PAGASA always advised that all fishing boats and small sea craft not to venture out into the seaboards of Southern Luzon and Visayas and the eastern seaboard of Northern and Central Luzon due to the combined effect of Tropical Storm Ambo and the southwest monsoon.
