It's a 10th day of Chief Justice Renato Corona's Impeachment trial when Senator Lito Lapid stood up and make way to the rostrum and ask question for the first time. The Senator got of a warm of applause and smiles from the audience.
Senator Lito Lapid said, "O, bakit kayo tumatawa diyan?."
He asked, “Nakalagay po sa SALN ni Justice Corona na nag-cash advance siya ng P11 million. Ano po ang difference ng cash advance sa loan o utang?”
Oriental Mindoro Rep. Reynaldo Umali answered the question, “Iyon po ang inaalam natin dahil hindi naman share holder si Corona at Cristina pero nagca-cash advance sila kaya po nagpipresinta kami at nililinaw namin ngayon.”
According to report, Senator Lapid just wanted to prove and clarified if the P11 million cash advance was a loan or just a cash advance.
However, Sen. Lapid does not usually joining any Senate debates. Maybe because the Senate debates are in English discussions and he prepared to use the national language.
