Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said, "Typhoon Pedring has intensified as it continues to move away from the country." The Department of Science and Technology (DoST) said, "an incoming tropical storm threatens to pound northern Luzon again."
PAGASA said, "the new cyclone is possible to gain strength as it continues to travel over the sea toward Philippine territory. "
