AJ 'Bazooka' Banal Retains WBO Asia-Pacific Bantamweight Title

The “Pinoy Pride 7: Battle at Mactan” where AJ 'Bazooka' Banal retained his WBO Asia-Pacific Bantamweight title against Tyson Cave in over the weekend. The ring physician advised the referee to stop the fight at 2:32 in the 8th round as blood was pouring over the Cebuano puncher's eyes.

According to the Canadian challenger, who had unorthodox style and antics, was irritating and did nothing but push and wrestle Banal and run away from him most of the time.

All the judges scored the fight at 79-73, 78-74 and 78-74 in favor of AJ Banal.
